June is one of the busiest months on Hatteras Island. Summer Solstice breezes through and summer goes into full swing. With the kids out of school on summer vacation, families drive from far and wide to come to escape to the white sandy beaches of Hatteras Island. Turquoise waters and clear skies are generally a safe bet, and this year was no disappointment. Fishing tournament season for Cape Hatteras anglers is also at it’s height in June with those such as the Big Rock and the Hatteras Marlin Tournament. June obviously kicks off “Peak Season” for a reason–you just can’t beat it!
