One great part about the holiday season is all of the delicious food! Sweet and savory treats float around like visions of sugar plums dancing in your head and now that the house is all decorated to remind you of your favorite spot at the beach, why not bring that same spirit into your already cheery kitchen?
We’ve scoured the web and found that shaking up the traditional Christmas cookie isn’t that far off or difficult to create. Start with your favorite sugar cookie or gingerbread man recipe and the world is your oyster! Cookie cutters and a good icing recipe and you’re set to go!
Want to take it one step further? Invest in some of your favorite extracts that remind you of the beach and insert them into a recipe that is pretty basic, calls for vanilla and insert that instead. Start with coconut, keylime or a berry that reminds you of your favorite fruity drink!
