The weathered shaker siding of the home has stood the test of time and Mother Nature. The ground level features a covered area that offers a paved patio to sit out and enjoy the island weather, as well as an entry to the home. Head up the steps to the main living level wraparound deck that boasts Adirondack-style seating to enjoy an island retreat. The third-level master suite boasts a private balcony.
Interior Amenities
Take the outdoor steps to the second-level sun deck and main living level. Open the door to a spacious great room and step into the living space with wood floors. Comfortable and cozy furnishings offer a place to sit and read, watch a movie or TV show on the flat-screen TV, or plan a day of island fun with loved ones. The spacious and fully equipped kitchen is available 24/7 for all of your home-cooked meals. Black appliances join fully stocked wood drawers and cabinets and black tile counters with plenty of prep space. A separate coffee bar means you don’t have to disrupt meal prep when you just want a quick pick-me-up. Enjoy any meal or snack at the beachy wood dining table that seats six. The laundry area is also on this level and makes the chore something everyone in the group can help out with. Separate the kids and adults of the group for a while and send one group to the first-floor den. Multiple chairs surround an entertainment center with a flat-screen TV. Wood panel walls and a nautical theme give you the feel of being inside a wooden boat. The space is accessible from inside as well as outside the home.
At the end of the day, or for some well-deserved downtime, retreat to a private bedroom. The first floor houses the first bedroom and boasts a queen bed, night tables, a spacious closet and dresser, and even a kitchenette and dining area! The kitchenette features a sink, microwave, cabinets with basic utensils, and a sink. A small dining area next to the bed seats two at a double drop-leaf table. There is also a wall-mounted flat-screen TV. The room boasts an attached Jack-and-Jill style bath with a pedestal sink and shower stall accessed by the bedroom or the den. The bedroom also boasts its own entrance from outside for extra privacy! There is a full-size futon in the den as well. The second floor hosts two bedrooms. The second bedroom boasts a queen bed, night tables with lamps, a dresser with a flat-screen TV on top, and a spacious closet. This room can be accessed from inside or outside the home from the deck.
The third bedroom is perfect for kids and boasts a twin-over-full bunk, closet, tall dresser with flat screen TV on top, and shared night table. The unique layout of the house puts these two bedrooms next to one another, each with two entrances from within the home – one connected to the living space, and one accessed from the stairway hall. The bedrooms share a hall bath with a tub/shower combo and pedestal sink. The third level hosts the spacious master suite. Wrap yourself up for sweet dreams in the king bed, sit and read in the cozy chair, or connect with loved ones back home in the office area with a desk. The bed faces windows for a beautiful view of the neighborhood. There is a flat-screen TV for your entertainment. The cozy bathroom boasts a shower stall and pedestal sink, while the separate soaking tub is located just outside the door. There is space for everyone to enjoy a Hatteras Island retreat!
