These homes will gladly accept domestic, housebroken pets unless otherwise noted. Pets are not permitted on the grounds of any home not designated pet friendly. Any additional restrictions (for example, some property owners only permit dogs) will be noted in the property details. An additional pet fee could be incurred. Private Pool
Unheated private pools are available for arrival dates from April 11 to October 16, 2025 unless otherwise noted in the property description. Heated private pools and pool heat (if provided) are available for arrival dates from April 4 to October 30, 2025.

Hot Tub
These homes feature private (or, in the case of Atlantic View Estates properties, community) hot tubs. Tubs are cleaned and sanitized before each rental. A great way to take the "off season" chill away. As used on our web site, Hot Tub does not mean the traditional wooden tubs found in many mountain ski resorts; in other areas, our Hot Tubs might be called Spas. Most of them are located outside on a deck or poolside; a select few are inside the home and/or adjacent or even built in to the pool. A Jacuzzi is not a Hot Tub; it is a trademark bathtub, in many shapes and sizes, typically found in the bathroom (although a select few homes in our program may have the Jacuzzi inside the master bedroom).

Sheets provided year round. For all full- and partial-week stays checking in after May 23 and before September 5, 2025 sheets and towels will be provided and beds will be made on check-in day with the exception of top bunks, sofa beds, trundles, and futons (these sheets will be left in the cottage for you). Towel sets include 1 bath towel, 1 hand towel, and 1 washcloth and will be provided for the maximum occupancy of the cottage.

Terra Mar Dreams, a dog-friendly vacation rental located in the heart of Hatteras Island features cozy comforts and amenities that cater to every type of traveler from the foodie to the adventurer and everyone in between!
Upon arrival, utilize the grand staircase or ramp to access the first living level where you’ll be welcomed by a sizeable game room for instant excitement. Boasting a pool table, arcade gaming console, TV, and wet bar with a full-sized fridge, microwave, and plenty of storage space for everyone’s snacks, this is the perfect place to kick-off your family vacation! When you’re ready to kick your feet up, settle in with a movie in the theater room that offers six reclining chairs, a projector, and screen. The first of the home’s six bedrooms is on this level as well, which provides access to the shaded deck overlooking the pool in addition to the full bath with tub/shower combo that is shared with the floor. All bedrooms throughout the home provide TCL Roku TVs for optimal relaxation. A nearby laundry area is centrally located, as is the elevator that reaches all floors, both added conveniences that you’ll appreciate throughout your entire stay.
The second level hosts four more bedrooms for easy R&R. A king en suite offers a stand-up shower in the private bath with access to an exclusive front-facing balcony as well as a wraparound shaded deck. Also offering entry to the wraparound deck that accesses the top-level sundeck are another king en suite with tub/shower combo and a room with two pyramid bunks. The final room on the floor is an en suite with two twin beds providing a tub/shower combo as well.
You’ll quickly become enchanted by all the luxuries on the third floor. While a custom kitchen is outfitted with classic cherry cabinets, granite tops, and stainless steel appliances, the step-up bar and dual dining tables create flexibility in seating arrangements so the family chef’s coastal cuisine can be fully appreciated by all. Kick your feet up around the 65” TCL Roku TV in the family room or observe sweeping views of the neighborhood and distant views of the ocean from the top-level sundecks. The final bedroom, a king en suite, is ideally situated with its own access to the sundeck, also providing a tub/shower combo in the private bath. Completing the level is a half bath for added convenience.
Your vacation will reach new heights with your favorite outside amenities. Splash around in the private pool, lounge in the sun, soak in the bubbly hot tub, and cook up some tasty treats on the gas grill for a poolside picnic! Your pups will love stretching their legs on peaceful jaunts through the quiet neighborhood streets or longer strolls along the village sidewalks. When you’re ready to hit the beach, take the easy walk across Highway 12 or utilize ORV Ramp 38 at the south end of Avon for exhilarating days of fun in the sun.
